Force Majeure: Avant-Garde Innovation in a Glass

milton freewater oregon

One of the very best wineries in the region.

The former schoolhouse, now tasting room, is a gorgeous spot that has been very carefully laid out and appointed to make it an ideal place to taste wine. It retains just enough of its original features to keep it authentic and charming but has been adorned with exquisite art (much of it from the Alexander’s personal home) and tastefully comfortable furniture so as to expel those bad memories we all have of squirming in cramped desks so many years ago. The space is sophisticated, elegant, very comfortable, and very much worth visiting.

Winemaker Todd Alexander makes superb wines with intense flavour, seductive mouthfeel and great complexity, even at a young age. Force Majeure is truly a major force, not just in Washington, but in winemaking anywhere in the world.
