We are avid lovers of both travel and wine. Between us we have visited more than 85 countries and tasted wines from across the globe.
AdVINEtures is an award-winning blog that shares the stories of our travels and the wines we enjoy along the way. We hope to bring alive the excitement we feel when visiting fascinating places through story-telling, photos and videos. We will tell you about the wines we encounter with a background about the region, the grapes, tasting notes, and the people who make the wine.
Allison is the VP, Communications & CSR for the Flight Centre Travel Group (www.flightcentre.ca), a regular travel contributor for CTV , and a published author and photographer. Chris is a former Private Equity Fund Manager and is a published author on www.seekingalpha.com & www.Investedcentral.com.
Both have attained WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 certificates, along with Canadian Wine Scholar designations (CWS), and Wines of BC Ambassador certification. AdVINEtures was awarded a 2022 Wine Travel Award, and has been named a finalist for the 2019 Born Digital Wine Awards and the 2018 Millesima Blog Awards. Sample & Review Policy
AdVINEtures is pleased to accept the submission of wine samples as well as wine and food-related products for editorial consideration. Reviews may appear on our blog, which if published would also be featured on one or more of our social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
We accept samples from wineries, distributors or importers, as well as companies selling related products or merchandise. We also personally purchase wine and related products for review.
We accept invitations to review vineyards, wineries, wine tasting and trade events, travel destinations, restaurants, wine bars and invitations to judge wine competitions. For invitations to review vineyards, wineries, wine tasting and trade events, travel destinations, restaurants, wine bars and invitations to judge wine competitions, please note that two people generally travel together.
Content that has been paid for by an advertiser or any content for which we have been compensated, will always be clearly labeled as sponsored content. We cannot guarantee a review or post.
All reviews are based on personal opinion though we try to be as objective as possible. Our rating system provides a range versus a specific number to give our audience an understanding of quality level by our tastes.
All samples submitted for consideration should include the following information: name of Producer, Wine or Product name, country of origin, appellation, vintage, suggested retail price and where the wine/product is available for purchase. Please also include a website link and any social media handles or hashtags that are used in conjunction with the wine/product. We will photograph the sample, so please ensure the label is clear.
