Dry Creek Valley healdsburg

The view at Comstock Wines

We have been visiting Sonoma Valley wine country for more than 15 years, long before AdVINEtures ever existed. And while we’re still a long way from getting to all the wineries in the region, nothing excites us more than a new discovery, which on our most recent trip was Comstock Wines.

Washington Wine walla walla

The tasting room at Leonetti Cellar

Leonetti Cellar, located in Washington’s Walla Walla Valley AVA, makes some of the most collected, sought-after, recherché, and praised wines in America. There is no tasting room (the winery does not receive guests; we were a special exception as a part of the Fine Vintages Spanish Wine Tour) and the winery was custom designed with meticulous attention to detail.

Eugene Oregon

King Estate Winery

We suppose the name itself should have been a dead giveaway but as we drove from downtown Eugene via roads that took us through largely rural farmland, we were almost stopped in our tracks when we turned the last corner to see an enormous chateau sitting atop a hill surrounded by hundreds of acres of vines.
