2018 Powell & Son Eden Valley Riesling

2012 Joh. Jos. Prüm Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese
A fantastic Riesling showing all the elements we love in a Spätlese. Crisp and clean yet at the same time rich with a long finish. A lovely balance between its sweetness and the tart notes of of green apple and lime. Medium in body, it has a great acidity while still providing a smooth, round mouthfeel.
Excellent – ($65 + taxes at BC Liquor Stores)

2012 Audrey et Christian Binner Riesling Vignoble D’Ammerschwihr
Deep gold in colour, the nose immediately reveals notes of apple and petrol with a hint of lime and honey. Full bodied for a Riesling, it has a nice round mouth feel balanced with enough acidity so as not to taste flabby. Not a particularly long finish but a very enjoyable wine.
Very Good +
