2002 Lail Vineyards J. Daniel Cuvée Cabernet Sauvignon
Dark red, showing some age on the rim, this wine had a stunning aroma from the moment the cork was pulled. Absolutely classic Napa Cab notes including blackcurrant, black cherry, blackberry, menthol and vanilla. A big but wonderfully balanced wine that had a smooth mouthfeel and a ridiculously long finish. We think drinking at its peak but no signs of breaking down.

2003 Robert Mondavi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
A powerful but not overpowering wine, it delivered superb complexity with notes of blackberry, blueberry, spice cake and vanilla. Bold and intense yet so well balanced as to still come across as elegant. Drinking beautifully now but still has lots of time if you were to lose it in the back of your cellar for another decade. 2005 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection
Dark red in colour this is a big, fruit forward wine that’s is classic California cab. Black cherry and blackberry on the nose with vanilla, oak and earth backing it up. Very creamy both in taste and texture this is very smooth with a nice long finish. Certainly not breaking down but given it wasn’t very tannic or acidic we definitely think it’s at its peak.
