Township 7 Winery is actually two wineries: one in Langley, BC and one in Naramata, in the Okanagan Valley. It opened its winery in Langley in 2001, just a year after the first grapes were planted. The original founders, Corey and Gwen Coleman were two University of Saskatchewan graduates (both B.Comms) who left the prairies to learn the wine business first-hand in the Okanagan. Corey worked at winemaking and sourcing grapes from local producers. Gwen was a marketing consultant who had several wineries as clients. They teamed up and headed down to the coast to start their own winery in Langley.

Lohr Vineyards and Wines is the creation of Jerry Lohr, a South Dakota farmboy turned land developer who became one of the founding fathers of the Central Coast wine producing region in California. Lohr did extensive research before assembling land in the Monterey and Paso Robles regions on which he planted grapes in the early 1970s.
Trotanoy (pronounced trot-an-wah) sits atop the plateau in Pomerol, the small appellation of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, known for making tiny quantities of Bordeaux’s finest (and often, most expensive) red wines. Like its neighbours, Petrus, Lafleur and Le Pin, it makes stunningly rich and complex wines that will age for an eternity and are extremely difficult to acquire.

Nestled about halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles lies the city of Paso Robles, or more correctly, El Paso de Robles (the Pass of the Oaks). And while most people think of Napa and Sonoma as the hotbed of California wines, Paso is quickly gaining notoriety amongst wine lovers as an area not only for producing great wine but also for providing an unpretentious wine country experience. Cass Winery perfectly embodies this spirit of relaxed yet quality living.
Bryce Canyon National Park is 145 km2 of undisturbed nature whose stunning beauty truly defies description. Magnificent, breath-taking, awesome….the list of superlatives goes on and on, but they all somehow become trivial when used to describe the view into the Bryce Canyon amphitheatre. We won’t bother trying to describe the indescribable; we’ll let some of our photographs say what we cannot and they still won’t do it justice. But we would love to tell you a little bit about Bryce Canyon.
