Lohr Vineyards and Wines is the creation of Jerry Lohr, a South Dakota farmboy turned land developer who became one of the founding fathers of the Central Coast wine producing region in California. Lohr did extensive research before assembling land in the Monterey and Paso Robles regions on which he planted grapes in the early 1970s.
Trotanoy (pronounced trot-an-wah) sits atop the plateau in Pomerol, the small appellation of Bordeaux’s Right Bank, known for making tiny quantities of Bordeaux’s finest (and often, most expensive) red wines. Like its neighbours, Petrus, Lafleur and Le Pin, it makes stunningly rich and complex wines that will age for an eternity and are extremely difficult to acquire.

Bryce Canyon National Park is 145 km2 of undisturbed nature whose stunning beauty truly defies description. Magnificent, breath-taking, awesome….the list of superlatives goes on and on, but they all somehow become trivial when used to describe the view into the Bryce Canyon amphitheatre. We won’t bother trying to describe the indescribable; we’ll let some of our photographs say what we cannot and they still won’t do it justice. But we would love to tell you a little bit about Bryce Canyon.
One of the first things that become apparent when you meet winemaker Sonja Magdevski is her insatiable curiosity. It is this inquisitiveness that brought her into the wine industry and the same eagerness and passion that is put into the wine at Casa Dumetz.
Located along the Foxen Canyon Wine Trail in the Santa Maria Valley AVA, just north of Santa Barbara, sits the beautiful vineyards and tasting room of Cambria Estate Winery. Just 15 miles from the Pacific Ocean, at the northern end of the Foxen Canyon, this is cool climate country and ideal for planting Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
