Video AdVINEture: South Africa

Posted on Sep 11, 2018

Welcome to our 2nd Video AdVINEture! This past June we were lucky enough to make our first trip to South Africa and experience an incredible G Adventures National Geographic Journey. We spent over a week in this beautiful part of the world which included stops in Cape Town, the wine regions of Stellenbosch and Franschoek, and of course seeing animals on safari at both Kruger National Park & Karongwe Game Reserve. What we discovered were wines of excellent quality, a food scene in Cape Town that is world-class, and people that are among the friendliest we’ve met on our travels to date. We hope you enjoy this glimpse into the magic of South Africa:

Cheers!

Beautiful videography, great information and stunning locations! The penguins:))))). Both Stellenbosch and Franschoek have been high on our list in terms of visiting for the wine regions so I’ll have to refer back to this when we make it over there next year!

Wow! What brilliant visuals on your trip! The penguins at Boulders Beach are adorable and that view from Kirstenbosch! So much beauty! It is on my list. And I loved the map graphics!

    • We cannot recommend it enough Robin. The wine regions were stunning, but Cape Town, the surrounding area and Kruger/Karongwe were just awesome all around. You must go!

Going on safari was one of the best trips we’ve ever been on! We went to Tanzania though, so no wine country. I know the safaris are a bit more touristy in South Africa, but I’d love to go anyway to combine my love of wildlife and wine. Thanks for taking us all along with your video!

    • We’ve also done Tanzania and don’t disagree, but the country as a whole and the wine regions were so worth it!
